Sheikh Badru Jaffar, a Renowned Kenyan Muslim Scholar was awarded an MA Degree in Islamic Banking, Finance & Management by the University of Gloucestershire, UK on October 10th, 2009.

 

Sheikh Badru who completed the MA Studies through the MarkField Institute of Higher Education achieved a distinction and was among the top 6 students of the 22 who sat for the final exams.

Sheikh Badru who is one of the Sharia Supervisory Board Members of First Community Bank thanked the Bank for its material and moral support to him. A number of family members and friends flanked Sheikh Badru during the graduation ceremony including FCB Board Chairman Mr. Hassan Varvani.

Commenting on his achievement, Sheikh Badru noted that the Knowledge he has gained will enable him to be of better service not only to the Bank but to the Muslim community at large.
